Back to School Ice Cream Social

Supporting the Children of Our Community

Our community is our greatest gift, and the children within it are our most precious treasures! On Saturday, August 3rd, our church joyfully gathered to celebrate and support our children as they prepare for another amazing year of learning and creating new memories. The spirit of rejoicing in Jesus Christ naturally fills our hearts, and we wanted to show our love and encouragement in a fun and meaningful way. What better way than hosting a community Ice Cream Social with hamburgers, hotdogs, and, of course, the delightful treat of HOME-MADE ICE CREAM!

The turnout was fantastic! Around 40 enthusiastic attendees came together, each bringing school supplies to support the children at Cumberland School as they embark on their exciting educational journey. Alongside the abundance of school supplies and delicious ICE CREAM, we united in a heartfelt time of prayer, lifting our voices to God and showing that we are committed to caring for His children. It was a day filled with joy, community spirit, and an outpouring of love for our future leaders!

As Jesus said in Galatians 6:9-10

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
